Connecting directly to relays is battery intensive, but maybe that can improve
It connects to relays like a client and stores the notes. It acts as a relay you connect to. That way you get the notes from all the relays while only connecting to one. It’s more efficient.

i don't think so, but it could, if it can also connect to a signer with permission to auth for REQs or, since it's local, store your key so it can auth for you to any relays you use that need it. that would cover all cases.
