You're missing the point, that the Nostr is not a social media.
Each of this strengths does come with a negative side: it's more work!
Decision paralysis exists.
Some people love choice. Many want a closed menu that saves them the effort of thinking, understanding, deciding.
Onboarding on Nostr requires much more mental effort that downloading tiktok or other optimised, zero effort, algo-driven slop dispensers.
It is much more rewarding to build your own network, but it takes time to do so.
I don't think that we will get mass Nostr adoption for a while yet. Eventually a few opinion leaders will get it and then they'll bring their followers. But I don't see it as being anything but a slow process.
The good news is that once you know and understand, you are here to stay.
Tell me more please. I've heard this argument before, but never properly explained.
