I don't know why people want what they want. Personally I don't need to agree with what people want or stand in their way of doing what they want. However, (in)actions do have consequences. Always. What people do with the freedom they have is between them and their god to be judged upon their actions. I may have an opinion, but I won't choose to stand in the way of people's freedom based on the assumption they will misuse that freedom because they have the chance to choose to do wrong things. The concusion that I therefore want bad things is just narrowminded, but also understandably typical of the times we live in with people being set up against each other. Again, put your theory to the test and apply it to another protocol and see how good things go when you start to deny people freedom because you assume they will use it for bad things. See how well that goes for TCP/IP or Tor or Nostr.
