#Bitcoin is both a network and a currency. Within the #bitcoin network and its parameters, sovereign individuals may move #bitcoin the currency to and from as they wish.
That’s it. The network keeps a ledger of all of the currency units within. The currency has all of the imperative characteristics of sound money. The network has all of the imperatives for a secure and decentralized means of transacting with the currency. It’s beautiful and poetic.
To advocate for any other unnecessary data (besides a minuscule amount for timestamps of a transaction) to be stored in the network is to misunderstand what #bitcoin is, and represents. It is fundamental that we maintain the integrity of the network, so the currency maintains its value. If the network becomes flawed/compromised, the currency becomes useless.
