I’d suggest that we apply a naive model of WoT when we look only at follows and followers. @david is doing much deeper work to build a more meaningful web of trust.

Follows + mute lists are kind of fine for now. I'm trying to figure out a simpler way of signalling trust without going full in Tapestry (but that can eventually evolve to it)
Follows, mute lists and other proxy data (likes, etc) can be a useful tool to build a naive WoT, but they are a temporary crutch. We need to replace proxy indicators of trust with explicit trust attestations, for example: “Alice explicitly endorses Bob as trustworthy to curate her Wikifreedia articles in all bitcoin-related categories.”
