Say something useful. What, specifically, do you disagree with?
At what threshold of node count are you expecting spam to stop propagating around the network?

The primary reason people run Knots is because THEY don’t want to relay and store what they consider spam in their mempool. Your take was dishonest (to no one’s surprise) because you’re making it seem like people running knots are doing so in an attempt to prevent OTHER people from relaying and storing spam in their mempool.
We don’t expect spam propagation to stop. We just don’t have an incentive or desire to be part of the problem.
so you reply to this guy message (another tech related convo which will bring nowhere) but ignore my message that had 5 likes? what are we to think of this?

I would like to point out that not all ppl who run knots do it because they believe opening up op_return is bad. Some ppl do it because they have b...
If node operators wish to actually steer what the miners are doing, they MUST reject blocks with which they disagree, thus refusing to pay miners for that work.
Miners DGAF about your whining on social media or your mempool virtue signaling 😘

There is no expectation that this would stop Mr Lopp……..
It’s simply that many do not want this change to the op return in V30……….
With the release of V30, you will find old core versions not upgrading as they have not done currently and you will have Knots continuing to grow………..
This KPI (type of node running) is being ignored in the V30 camp, and will result in loss of credibility down the line……..
Time will tell 😊
