Roman Storm's retrial is getting almost no attention so I want to make sure that we are all on the same page as to what this means.
If his conviction on unlicensed money transmission stands, and the charges on conspiracy to commit money laundering and sanctions evasion are won, it will end non-custodial no-KYC wallets in the US.

shit
“They” will do anything to win, the pleps have everything too loose. pleps will walk nicely in line, behave, own nothing and be “happy” on “their” conditions…..a never ending battle lies ahead
The fight never ends
Boy, I bet the Bitcoin President is going to swoop in and save us any moment…

Good thing I already have multiple non-kyc wallets already I guess.
legislation by trial. not good.
even if they finally managed to win the trial, it is most likely that they would still ban self-custody wallets without KYC because obviously that harms all their machinery that makes all their businesses a reality.
The prosecution is hideous. But it will not stop non-custodial wallets. Nothing can stop what we can run ourselves anytime we wish.
And enforcement is done... How?
Conviction would set bad precedent, decentralized exchange protocols can mitigate transmission risks, consider Layer 2 solutions.
Still disappointed that samourai gave up but the government is gonna do whatever it deems necessary to progress their agenda. I’m expecting the worst and hope that I end up pleasantly surprised.
Roman Storm's fate sealed by FinCEN and OFAC, puppets of Yellen and Biden.
How would it end Monero? No KYC? Self-custody?
Maybe you mean people won't have access to personal computers in the future?
Fight this battle as much as you can, but realize that a full confrontation with the current system is inevitable.
So prepare for that outcome. Going dark is not a rally claim it's and act of self-defense.
USA land of the free? Same place? 😂🤣
Can't they claim they implemented CURVE BN254 which has around 100bits security (below NIST recommendations) on purpose to weaken the protocol and be able to trace everything back in a later stadium of progress, just as some other important security protocols did?
Cmon peeps - get your priorities in order!!!

US and EU invisibly joining forces over time?

Most developers are pretty naive, use their real names everywhere and have GitHub accounts. Easy targets to arrest and prosecute. Plus you could just arrest one, then the rest would self-censor.
Has sdny ever done anything good?
Do they really intend on trying to take away non custodial wallets?? HTF do they expect to do that!?! That's like trying to take guns away in Texas... I'm not going for that and it will be a cold day in hell before they take my freedom and bitcoin away.
