The first reaction I get is that Bitcoin is a threat to the existing system, and that it will hurt people. If people are convinced of that from the start, there is no point in continuing the conversation. Because while I strongly agree that Bitcoin IS a threat to the existing system, it's the only thing that will SAVE people from the damage that the current system is causing.
