#nostr should be so decentralized, nobody needs to pay for any network functions Subscription models detract from that goal No business model can fix how the world kinda sucks as long as people are too shitty to willingly stop filing taxes and send that money to open source developers instead

How do you propose devs continue to build said software/services in reality? A donation-only scheme? Curious. To be clear, I agree on full decentralisation as well (open-source infra + clients), not a fan of “closed-garden” Nostr apps, completely against the principle. 🤣

damus opted for double ratchet so I understood yesterday, so no giftwrap nip-59. Nostr clients are moving more and more towards the freemium model Developing a client requires at least two developers, who at least want to cover some costs
