Social dynamics getting in the way are why we trust code
Humans are welcome to pile on and disagree and vocalize that all they want
But code protects the ability to speak- FOSS ensures that process is an auditable, level playing field
The reason to remove op_return limit is to reduce the increase of the utxo set. But it looks like it slowed along with the mempool spamming. No one is censoring anyone. Its just bitcoiners wanting to control their own nodes
