Syncthing is pretty effing epically magical. I wish more stuff just worked that easily. most NOSTR stuff lately doesn't even seem to be that interoperable. More basic infra needs to be developed. Or, more infra needs to be simplified to the point that everything just effing works. I want TNP to be the base for entire interoperable operating systems. Imagine turning on any device, signing into your own relay with your signing device/key/nsec/whatever, and EVERYTHING you want is just there, as you like, with no friction other than the physical connection speed of the device from anywhere in the world. All your pictures, music, documents, lists, contacts, books, movies, media, feeds, models (in my case 3D models, not AI stuff) and tools (probably AI for a lot of you) immediately, simply available. As long as you can connect to the internet, everything you want, build, read, listen to, or create is simply there. No hardware dependencies (aside from your relay), operating systems, or any other unnecessary stuff in the way, displayed on an interface you can completely customize. I've yet to see anyone talk about that, at least to that extent. If someone has, that is good, but it isn't a notion that has spread enough to crack through all the vibecode slop of clients and apps and social BS. When the protocol is the only thing you need to get everything you want, simply, efficiently, and nearly frictionlessly, you won't need anything else. Mostly, I just want to never have to bother with signing up for or in to anything ever again. I really can't stand most "social" interaction, even on nostr, even if I really like some of my fellow nostriches. I want The NOSTR Protocol to expand in depth, not in shallow breadth. Replace operating systems with simple databases of preferences and locations served with unbreakable crytographic attestations in near-instantaneous massive interoperabilty. Anyway, that probably won't happen, and I can't make it happen since I don't have the capability to learn how to do that in my lifespan, but I can dream, and my dreams will be larger than most others because small dreams are boring and who the )(#*$(* wants to live like that? /rant over

We' share your dream and we're building it! :) It's actually a protocol stack connects peer-to-peer and coordinates over Nostr (no more DNS!) like a decentralized Tailscale. Chat, file sync, etc. become super easy. And privacy online like Tor too. At its heart is a key layer and proofs that don't reveal your identity, but let you log in everywhere and you can even plug in old-school oauth2 apps. Keys for identities, relationships, addresses. Keys that rotate automatically. Plus Nostr key and Bitcoin keys too! We've only just started to release the first little bits, because we have to build the infra from the ground up,, so it's not much yet, but this is exactly where we're going!
Yes, I've been getting my head around it, but I think it integrates beautifully. I designed this before I was purple pilled and I'm absorbing things into the infra. Next cut of the white papers will have more explicit Nostr integrations. Safebox fits right in, @Geektoshi's WoT scoring for relays may almost totally replace our discovery. Everything here we can just integrate with focuses down what we have to build. Our heart is in unifying and fleshing out tooling the key layer and getting everything to connect without third party permissions

If your life changed overnight, how would you begin again? We are trying to answer that question every day. We never imagined we would have to ask for help. But survival leaves no room for pride. Even small support matters more than you know: $10 is not just money — it becomes bread. $50 is not just a donation — it becomes medicine and safety for a few more days. For us, these amounts are not numbers. They are moments of relief in a life filled with uncertainty. If you feel moved, please stand with us.
