I think he's saying that Monero doesn't exist in any of the emails not just the ones in 2011, which is a true statement.

There are probably thousands of other tokens that also don't get a mention.

But they're not used as much as Monero. Monero is used even more than Bitcoin for real world transactions but unlike Bitcoin is completely opaque and untraceable.
