I see many good things with a physical backup, but please consider if the presentation or your storage method is so odd you forget how to read it, then it does you no good. I also see lots of security through obscurity mentioned in the website, like starting on a random bit, which could further cause you to lose your data of the key while you still hold the object.

Definitely bring these concerns to @modulo I just think it is a well made device, in its early days.

Absolutely good considerations—thanks for the feedback. We number the sides and indicate starting at the top or the bottom of the key, but any consideration for obfuscation has tradeoffs, including adding passphrases when generating addresses, and as you know, anything can be lost. Documenting process, backups and well thought out transfers/inheritance is essential for any key including modulo’s. This GENESIS key is for those who have an active interest in how their private key operates and care that it’s fully offline.
