Rolling Stone owner Penske Media sued Google, saying its AI summaries in search use its articles without consent and cut visits and money. It's the first lawsuit by a major US publisher over the feature. Google says it will fight the case.

That’s so stupid. Summary is allowed under fair use. If I, as a human, am allowed to read a book/article/etc and summarize it, then AI should too.
Now, suits over defamation/misrepresentation (which I’ve seen AI do a LOT) are a different story.
