This is pretty interesting. I wonder how safe and effective it would be to only carry part of the seed and then give the last X words to someone you trust after memorizing them. Then get where youβre going and call them for the last words in case you forget them. Then burn the seed and move to a fresh one

That, or just add a passphrase you memorize and carry the seed plain text in two parts..
As always with every aspect of Bitcoin security itβs trade offs all the way down..
Personally I like redundancy, so def two distributed copies .. for example in your suggestion above, Iβd give someone else (or at least bury somewhere) the part you carry (obviously not the same person you gave the last X words to :)
And yes, for sure burn the seed once funds are moved when you get where youβre going
Passphrase is a really important tool in this type of scenario. A passphrase turns an existing seed phrase into a completely different wallet.
