honestly i've wanted to run my own Primal caching service. i have thought about this several times over the past year. however, i do not want to spend $120 a month on this, just to prove a point. i do a lot of dumb things out of prinicple, but this epensive.
i thought about ways to try and monetize this, to at least pay for itself, but i don't really know how that's possible either.
it needs to be a value added service for an existing solution and service provider and i don't have the time to develop all of that :) i'd rather focus on other things.

oh. haha. i understand now once i read that again. they fixed that glitch and are now embracing the GM protocol.
Yea does sound like it would be fun to run but not cheap.
I suppose it's a "value-add" for Primal. I wonder how. At their scale the cost (of this piece of their infra alone) has to be pretty high.
Plus you have to learn Julia. For now anyway.
Julia is actually quite a neat language, wouldn't have stumbled on it but for the Primal caching server. But it's definitely a speed bump.
