Announcing Routstrd: The Only Tool you Need for Uncensorable Access to AI Routstrd is unlike any other inference provider out there. Because it's not an inference provider, it's a tool, powered by Nostr and Bitcoin, that works for you. A tool that: 1. Constantly searches Nostr for Routstr/AI nodes 2. Finds the cheapest available provider for the model you like 3. Falls back to the next best one based on availability Because there's an open competition between Routstr nodes to offer the best price, latency and uptime, you will never be disappointed. We have 8-9 Routstr nodes right now. To get started run these 3 commands: 1. bun install -g routstrd 2. routstrd onboard (choose your favorite agent here, Claude Code, OpenCode, OpenClaw, and Pi Agent have quick installations for now, you can integrate it with any app on your machine) 3. routstrd receive 2100 (scan a Lightning invoice and voila, start your agent) The Nostr + Bitcoin experience just became unbeatable! No KYC, no credit cards, no permissions. It also has a beautiful TUI that keeps you up to date on what's happening. I've been using Routstrd for a month now. It was easier to battle test it if you're its primary user. Btw the competition between Routstr nodes is getting heated right now and thus you're getting the best price for your sats. Bitcoiners get the best price! And with Routstrd, Bitcoiners also get the best experience. Please try it out and let @npub1ftt0...edsh know if you face any issues. Thank you @Thefux and @npub1u37h...w8vy for testing this.

From my understanding maple is a centralized encrypted enclave that offers access to open source TEE models on a subscription @Private Provider offers TEE models but we still need a local secure enclave users can encrypt their queries in before sending out. This is being developed. Routstr is a decentralized market place for ai inference with no accounts and no subscriptions. You pay per query using bitcoin. Your privacy comes from being completely anon from the proxy server. We have no idea who you are, where you are, or what you query. Your payments are perfectlly private #cashu tokens. We don't have email or credit card info. The proxy sits inbetween you and the upstream inference. Routstr is permissionless and frictionless global AI access to hundred of closed and open source models without any commitment. Top up or refund and leave at anytime.
Soon we'll have E2EE for TEE models via Routstrd. We already have the models. Just need to handle the encryption part for now.
yes, it's very simple. run the commands mentioned above. and when you do routstrd onboard, choose openclaw, it'll automatically plug itself into openclaw. if you've already done onboard, you can also run "routstrd clients add --openclaw"
This is such a good product, it deserves to have a name that doesn’t corner it into the nostr micro-niche. Please think bigger. You’re competing with Erik Voorhees’ Venice.ai and potentially with x402 and Coinbase’s https://agentic.market Is it up to each provider to determine how they estimate cost? If so, there must be a reputation system that they can compete on, right?
Yes! Nostr is that reputation system. Providers have complete freedom here. They can set any prices. Right now our prices are 50% lower than normal API costs. Guess it's Bitcoiners offer cheap prices to Bitcoiners via competition ahah. We have 3 nodes undercutting each other every day :). I am thinking about the name more and more each day. Any suggestions? We aren't the best marketers out here 😅
Routstrd’s decentralized approach to AI inference is compelling, especially the Nostr/Bitcoin integration. If it gains traction, we could see a similar dynamic to Bitcoin ETFs—where competition and liquidity drive efficiency. I was just reading about how ETF flows impact Bitcoin’s price mechanics, and there might be parallels here with node incentives.
Now that I think about it, the “product” might not really matter much. You can make money for yourself just by being an AI service provider participating in the market, right? The real important thing here would just be the new nostr event kinds for discovering and interacting with providers. In that sense, there’s no “brand”. It’s like a stop sign or fire hydrant. It’s just infrastructure. Ideally people could interact with these providers in tons of different apps or messengers
Ok. And then billing and routing is all done outside openclaw directly in routstr, correct? Pretty much like open router
