Co-operating with them at all will just give them reason to take more from you and anally screw you (sorry, your analogy has stuck) more easily because you are closer to them, and easier to reach.
Anonymity works well because even if they don't like what you do, they might shut down your platform, but will have a harder time throwing you in jail compared to a Pavel Durov or a Meredith Whittaker, should they suddenly decide to do so.
