I think it's an attempt to force Americans into the American models to avoid economic collapse. And I think that's China's goal. They dont give a fuck about open source models or freedom of users. They just want to attack us where we are weak. There's no way out of this shit except to produce stuff again. Everyone is avoiding that but that's where we are. We can probably limp along a little longer forcing American corps into closed US models, but it won't last.
