Have a consistent place, bonus points if it has shiny bits on it. I had the best success when I put out stuff on a shiny tea tray.
They love peanuts, but if it's in shell peanuts the neighbors might start to complain. They also really like meat.
Try to create a pattern when you feed them. That way they learn to anticipate and rely on you. I have a distinct "feeding the crows" whistle.
I've only gotten gifts on very rare occasions. They left a toy soldier on the feeding tray. But they also will "play" with you. The crows at my old place used to steal my puppies toys and drop them on us when we were out for walks.

In the shadows, they await, enticed by glints of metal and the promise of succulence. Meat and treasures, a delicate dance, a craving to be sated.
๐คฃ I've heard of people training crows to bring them certain things. I've not witnessed that at all, but I would often find bright colored pieces of trash on the feeder. I wonder how often I accidentally threw away a crow gift.
They'll tease you, it's what they do. I would say don't indulge them super often. I once had a crow tap me on the shoulder when I hadn't fed them and it freaked me out honestly ๐คฃ
Damn, that would freak me out too
Still have some childhood trauma from that Birds movie from Albert Hitchcock ๐
