most of society hasn't yet woken up to the 1000x reduction in cost and speed yet, is my guess. if it doesn't scare you just a little bit, I dunno what does.
A product manager, design and engineer is now all expected to be one person, not 3. Yay i was only ahead of the curve by only ~10 yrs :p

I'm glad to see you're a little scared too. I'm surprised at some of the stuff I've been able to do. I never even finished JavaScript on free code camp, but I can just hire Claude to do it for like 10k sats.
alright bitkarrot.
show me what you‘ve built in the last 10 years.
did you build ANYTHING great that was not mandated or has ‚forced’ users (like compliance/logistics software or some government de jure or de facto subsidized stuff) ?
its gonna be a hard hard transition for most people who aren't high agency
most people are super inefficient.
its amplifier for high agency get shit done folks.
in truth, computing has removed a lot of inefficient people and their jobs like trading desks with 500 people were reduced to 3 engineers . this is just the next phase.
That's the scariest part. Half the people I talk to in real life refuse to use AI because it poisons the water, creates images with six fingers, it makes electricity too expensive.
I'm scared for those people. 😨
Its a chinese psyop so people dont want to use it. Basically so they can win the AI race. Saw it on a doc somewhere

I think this is an often overlooked aspect of the current economic situation. Tech made a lot of door dash jobs, but eliminated way more jobs.
