They don't have that on any of the big platforms.
True, but that's still what they ultimately want
Not someone to call. But there is an option to press: "forgot password"
I would also not say that a majority prefers sovereignty over convenience. And I personally think this can be reasonable.
I mean it is in general reasonable to trust an entity or person until this trust is broken.
The problem lies in that most people do not feel that their trust was directly broken, when their data are lost and sold in the internet.
At least not until it gets too obvious.
