Languages are interesting... I just did an interview for a Miami tv station talking about @Divine HQ . It was fun, but because it's Miami we did it once in English and once in Spanish. I know that language shapes so much more than the words. Because this interview was parallel, we basically did two versions of it. In theory, same people, same interview, the questions would be the same. But in reality the whole flow and narrative was different. In English it was more the story of the startup, vine, what happened to it, how divine keeps out ai slop. But in Spanish it followed different cultural narratives for the same interview. It was a story of people, nostalgia, what it means to go back to older social media, etc... Neither way of story telling is wrong, just different. And both felt so natural in the language they used.
