Probably because it would grant lower friction access to Nostr for one of the largest user groups in the world? I think they have like 2-3 billion accounts or something.

I did login with google time ago but now I don't have nsec and can only login to clients that have google sign on. Trying to figure it out.
Do you remember which was the first client you used with google login?
