It’s a website that does little more than show that there is popular support for someone that they can use for their defense and to bring attention to a judge who may see their appeal or recognize the injustice for the case. Interpreting it as anything else is silly. The guy is about to spend 5 years in prison for harming no one and building good software. Being picky about “what website” you choose to post a statement on to share that this was fucked up is a total waste of time and matters exactly none to those being wrongly imprisoned.
