I do t know what self heal is or saint John’s wort, was planning on harvesting goldenrod from one of my local forest preserves as they are plentiful there.

Self heal is very common grows in most grasses and is very mild and safe. It is an everyday herb. My personal favorite. Once you recognize it you will see it everywhere.
