Christians are called a race, a nation, and God's people. Perhaps that's where @Laeserin gets "ethnicity"? A pastor of mine once said that since Christians are a new creation we are a new species: Homo Christian (that has nothing to do with being ghey, btw)

We're a new race of immortal beings, following the traditions and laws in the Word and with a defined person as leader. Feel like that's somehow important. Enough to be an ethnicity.
