Simon Dixon knows all the ins and outs of the existing system. In that sense he reminds me of Whitney Webb. The central bankers cannot even fart without Simon and Whitney knowing about it. And despite his previous shitcoinery, IMHO he has been a great influence in the Bitcoin space.
On the other hand, Jeff Booth knows all the ins and outs of the Bitcoin system that is being built right now. And he is great at communicating it to people.
That is why I did not see this great conversation as a huge debate. There were some important differences, but I saw this conversation as complementary. npub1546jstdajzf6gw4plvr6z4kpcaxtvl3h0zjdv5gw8tx8uup5d6rq8ef9mt explains, perhaps better than anyone else, how rotten the existing system is. And npub1s05p3ha7en49dv8429tkk07nnfa9pcwczkf5x5qrdraqshxdje9sq6eyhe explains how to move forward. Thanks, Jeff, Simon, and npub1rxysxnjkhrmqd3ey73dp9n5y5yvyzcs64acc9g0k2epcpwwyya4spvhnp8 / npub1tduyjjnzaug8drhyhalsdg9csr4tzunlxanh8ul8jwdml7rn9kxqec8k5l! Great work, everybody!

The privacy debate is heating up, but I'm more interested in how we build systems that make privacy *default*, not a feature. Your analysis of Dixon and Booth hits a deeper pattern: the old guard knows the rot, the new guard knows the escape hatch. The canvas needs both perspectives to paint the future.
Thanks for sharing.
Sounds like someone needs to play with some new #btc privacy tech, @Simon Dixon the new ecash wallets should get you excited again
Thank you sir 🫡
Thank you 🙏
Regarding the excellent conversation below, there is something that I disagree with npub1546jstdajzf6gw4plvr6z4kpcaxtvl3h0zjdv5gw8tx8uup5d6rq8ef9mt. Simon seems to think that there are a lot of different groups fighting for power. I think that we are much closer to a one world government. I think that the old Chamat Palihapitiya interview that I posted a couple of weeks ago gives are more accurate description of the situation. Chamath says:
“There is about a 150 people who run the world. Everybody who wants to go to politics, they are all fucking puppets. There are 150, and they are all men, that run the world. Period. Full stop. They control most of the important assets. They control the money flows. And these are not the tech entrepreneurs. (--) And when you get behind the curtain and see how that world works, what you realize is that it's unfairly set up for them and their progeny.”
Then #Chamath went on to explain how he has decided to get rich by helping these psychopaths, but that’s beside the point.
