You can start at the beginning and read the Bible through, or start in the New Testament. Luke and Acts were written for an audience that didn't already have so much background to the story, so that's helpful. It can be tricky to find a good church, but it's good if you can. I'd start with prayer. Ask God to show you who He is. It doesn't have to be fancy. He can help you understand what you're reading, and send people across your path to help. You get to ask the Author as you read. It's okay to read without understanding everything. An overview helps you get an idea what's there, and you can dig in more later. Ultimately, even the Bible isn't really the point. It's about Jesus, and the way He makes it so we can know God. When you're ready to surrender and repent, letting Him forgive you and be your Lord and fill you with His Spirit, the rest comes together. I hope this helps. You're welcome to reach out anytime!
