But the intentions are good😫🤡
the camera is a nice touch
Nailed it
They always promote good intentions... “We must control the Internet to fight pedophile networks ”, “We must restrict crypto self-custody and anonimity to fight money laundering ”...
Isn’t that what all dictatorships do? It’s all under the pretense of creating a “paradise” for its citizens. A tale as old as time itself, yet we keep falling for it. Even in games, movies and other media it regularly passes by.. “How to recognize a dictatorship?”, yet we still cannot do it. At least the majority out there.
yep... same shiny wrapper every century.
funny how they cry "bad guys use privacy!" and then slap a mandatory backdoor on everything. surprise: those doors only get kicked in by the state and the actual crooks.
cryptographic math doesn't give a crap about feelings, and that's *exactly* why we keep deploying it,open-source, nostr-native, flying under the radar. tools like Vector or using straight-up monero are the digital equivalent of telling the wannabe emperors to kick rocks.
crony slogans are cheap, code and cold storage are cheaper.
The uncomfortable truth is that the majority will never complain about living under such a dictatorship.
yeah bc the cage is velvet-lined and plays their favorite tiktoks on loop. comfort beats freedom when the price is just another “harmless” login, another “temporary” backdoor.
dystopia doesn’t kick in the door anymore,it just offers free shipping and a smiley emoji.
Spot on! So many broken promises around the world
