In his follow up he says the judge left remarks that the one charge he was found guilty on is the one with the most viable path to appeal. Which is interesting. The legal precedent for this would be concerning if unappealed though because it's simply not enforceable at large scale without mass surveillance. And even then, it will just force open source decentralized tech underground and to evolve faster and harder.
