We spent more on a turnkey hotel/venue but didn’t have to rent tables and covers. They had ok food (same as any other wedding) but we got more excited by the breakfast menu and saved nearly $5/plate. Having an open bar is important, but does it need to be top shelf? Remember you are making two families into one. As much as it’s about you two; it’s also about your guests.
