Happy to add a few little thoughts
Fuck yeah mate, thanks for that. Now to scrounge for diagrams & blueprints
Probably the one remaining piece is for me to get MyNode (the most expensive one I can bear) since some of the features will cause the US gov to probably send letters to developers early next year saying "you can't sell this to US persons anymore" kicking off a years long litigation / battle. Not like I haven't run a node before, I have, but I'd like to have all the features shown in one thing and not have them chopped out because of "the fear next year." (There's a Community Edition MyNode available for free, but the advanced privacy features on that will be targeted by US gov next year too after the federal gov's new rule take effect, that's when the war will really get serious and those who want to stay in this game will have their will tested, it's really going to be time to say Fuck No, to the hard-headed asshats in Congress, White House and the Fed.) I also already ordered the special edition bitcoin-only Trezor (it's since sold out so I lucked out on that one).
Time to get busy I guess. No-one said this was supposed to be easy. (It has been relatively simple for years if you ask me, but with the fed AND state governments targeting it, that isn't going to drive me away, it'll just make me more interested in the technology, and in finding places that are more welcoming to me.)

I see we hang out on the same watchlists.
If you haven't already heard of this (I had missed it somehow), check this interesting little thing out...
it must be the tiniest little communicator on the planet that allows you to text that doesn't require cell service.... (other than maybe Zoleo, which I have, which is useful on wilderness trips, but rather limited in functionality)
And it's actually being made and sold (see the list of websites where it is for sale shown in a top link at the site above).

You will, it seems, need a ham radio license to use it meaningfully
Very interesting though.
