Cool, still never going to use this shit for a multitude of reasons.

Did you read it? Their reasoning makes sense to me. Security theater (you can just take a picture form a different device to bypass it) and a privacy issue for the one taking the screenshot (why is it anyones elses business if I take a screenshot on my phone?)
I know using another device (or screenshotting from your computer via a VM) can circumvent the protection, but I'd much rather the screen blacks out (as Threema and other apps do) while still giving a notice for those not as savvy.
Did it improve on metadata privacy?
