Its a very nuanced topic. Ive yet to see something that i 100% agree with. I see the arguments from both sides, they both have merits but ive leaned hard in knots direction for awhile now. But the arguments have gone from discussions to tribalism and pigeon-holed rhetoric. Kinda like with trump oh you support trump so you must also believe A,B&C. which is fucking dumb. Ive seen the same shit with oh you run knots you must also believe filtering stops spam etc etc. Which is horrendous strawmanning at best and outright dismissal of any points knots runners make. You can both be a knots supporter and simultaneously know that filtering at policy level wont stop spam. Too many black and white thinking in the arguments to even have a level headed conversation any more, everyones just talking passed each other at this point. If i were a fed and wanted to disrupt the synergies rallying in the bitcoin camp this is exactly the kinda shit id stir up to create division and slow the gaining momentum.
