through highlighter.com, my wife is starting to see the potential of nostr and she is blowing her own mind coming up with ideas of what's possible she is now doing research for a fiction book she's writing, and today she started to use a beta version of Highlighter's Atlas Notes (not released yet) but it's ALREADY better than Notion for what she wants to do I am so fucking bullshit on what Highlighter is going to bring to nostr; productivity geeks are always looking for the right tool/system because the right system hasn't existed yet, since universal content addressability hasn't been possible until now #nostr is PERFECT for this

Your energy is contagious dude! Ps found the typo someone mentioned β€œbullish” is what should’ve read
yeah, I tend to agree with her actually; I don't like the financialization of everything very eager to switch to a different vocabulary if we get a better word for it any proposals?
The Music stuff is crazy as well. The collaboration and transparency of contributions to the music will be amazing for future musicians and their splits. The possibilities are nuts.

Honestly I liked it on the go because I think it’s fun when people josh one another about spelling and the other person is a good sport about it 😊
I am very excited to try out highlighter for my BitDevs meetup. I haven't hosted a Socratic Seminar since learning about it but it could solve a huge problem we have: highlighting browser plugins are all terrible. The current best option is no longer being actively maintained (it never really worked that well anyway). Your highlighter application would allow me to share my notes across my own devices with nothing more than an npub. It would also allow me to share with other hosts and random strangers on the internet who want to digest this very technical material. Maybe I could even earn a few zaps that I could apply to my meetup as well. Just like you, I am so fucking bullshit on what Highlighter can do for BitDevs. πŸ˜„
πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ love it yeah, man, absolutely; and you can even gather questions from the audience as you're going through them, or before hand if you share a list of the items that will be covered with Highlighter's Atlas Notes you could create a list per event, share the list before hand and people can submit questions/comments, maybe even zap them to the top of the list πŸ‘€ mega bullshit on it! πŸ˜‚
lol I might have to twist people's arms to get that much engagement. It seems perfect for online bitdevs but my wife would kill me if I add any more recurring events to my calendar. πŸ˜†
All kinds of things, but what Jade it click for her was kindle books And then being able to add comments to the kindle book highlights And then organize the highlights in multiplex interlinked lists
#[3] I’ve been using Readwise + Reader and love the combo. Not sure I fully grok Highlighter yet - will it replace those? What got my attention is β€œkindle” which is where most my highlights live 😁
Yeah! Highlighter will replace those without platform-capture The value that you create in readwise, Evernote or anything else interoperable with everything else in nostr and without risk that the platform rugs you or becomes obsolete. We’ll be doing a video later today with dk; should help understand the value it provides
Ok you’re getting me excited. Having said that: the guys at Readwise have built something super cool, and I’m willing to pay for it. I don’t feel captured at the moment because it’s all easy to export. So much for that. If something better and #Nostr based comes along of course I’ll switch. It won’t change my willingness to pay!
Highlighter is dope. I was told there were private notes on Highlighter, however I cannot find them. I’d like to replace my note taking to Nostr if it’s possible and notes can be saved privately. Can someone point me in the right direction? #Plebchain
