stop trying to be friends with everyone and ruthlessly block and cut people out of your life if they are not on your side. a lot of people act friendly but they really just want to see you fail.

Heed this advice friends.
It only seems that way to you. Most people don't care about you at all. Politeness is just a social convention. It can be present or absent.
I agree most people don’t care
🐐
I'd still like a private mute list feature that's encrypted with a non-deterministic key (that you have to copy between clients).
In addition to a public mute list for obvious spam.
Forgiveness is great too
like hdkf(nsec + passphrase) ?

They don’t actively want anyone to fail, they just don’t want to see anyone succeed more than themselves.
But to actually succeed you need them, you cannot temper a sword without fire.
Just know you can’t please everyone and move on.
Besides they most likely think of you less than you do of them. Don’t let them live rent free.
doing this creates a circlejerk but everyone is free to choose what they do
Would you on-chain zap me the $100 that @Alex Gleason sent you?
I don’t even have the energy to write a script to recover it atm.
Please use Ditto or Amethyst. Thank you for your attention to this matter
not putting my nsec in those
no. people who care will tell you what you don’t want to hear. the people who don’t care will tell you things you agree with even if the things you agree with isn’t right.
it's pretty easy to convert your nostr key to a WIF and then sweep the sum in Sparrow. I think this whole saga is funny but a few bucks ain't gonna convince anyone to give up their private keys to people clearly trolling
it is not black and white, people may be on "your side" about one thing and on different side about other thing
I agree that people who care would tell you the truth even if you don't want to hear it but those people are nomarlly closest friends and family
Sure, or just a random key.
just thinking of decent ux for normies. password could be an optional two factor
I'd like to see full USENET-style killfiles, supporting regex, with an integer field to calculate a Bayesian score. Then I could make SpamAssassin style Bayesian rulesets to kill spammers, and share them just like SpamAssassin rules
sure
cry harder
And I agree with you and the rest of your sentence you didn't add here but screams thru :)
If someone doesn't make you better it makes you worse
I'm learning this. Gradually working out when and who I want to be around after ignoring how much energy was sucked out of me constantly. Cut off some family!
I might vibe code this
