Good listen. I couldn't tell if be was joking about the maximum books per year (200) or that there're just 200 good ones worldwide all time. It's most definitely doable. I know of a homeless guy in his 60s claiming he read over 4,000 books. It's a crazy story. He chose homelessness, quite a smart dude overall conversation wise. There's apparently a marginal danger in reading too much and not integrating gradually enough. Also, I say there're about 10,000 ones worth reading in a lifetime. Probably only a handful of people reached this point, not that this is a goal to have neccesarily.

I think his point was that just smashing through books to brag you’ve read X books is pointless, you don’t retain or absorb the information or follow the loose threads to fully comprehend what you’ve read. I’m aiming for 25 this year and so far am on track but can already tell that will be a stretch to fully absorb that many. And yeah there’s a lot of useless books, including in #Bitcoin now, but then occasionally you come across a gem as I have right now - one of those right books with the right content at the right time that happens a few times in life and gets you really juiced for it.
