An analysis of Bitcoin mining energy use and its ability to improve power grid robustness and efficiency around the world by Sabine Hossenfelder. It's not surprising to me that physicists can see the huge potential of a global and decentralized buyer of electricity.

I've watched a few of her takes on different things and find some of them OK, but if it's a topic you know more about than she does it can get pretty frustrating, as she is happy to share her opinions on stuff when she's still only just barely scratched the surface and hasn't really understood the nuance or other surrounding issues.
