Community division in Bitcoin is a feature, not a bug. I think Giacomo lost the plot at some point. I used to like his takes a lot, but his main objection to BIP110 is that if a contentious soft fork activates due to the game’s theoretical asymmetry, it could set a precedent where other BIPs ranging from beneficial to largely irrelevant (such as Drivechains) might also be activated by coercing miners.

He's still the most amazing human being in this arena. Defending Luke on his virtues and criticising on what he disagrees, listen to his talk with @walker for me it was very clarifying. It's a shame we have all this division IMO.

There are two types of smart people. Good people and bad people….the bad ones in this context are generally just greedy. Don’t have much #bitcoin but want to get rich quick.
