I’ve had the opposite problem and maybe it’s somewhat geographical (I’m in the Seattle metro area which is a liberal stronghold) but the women I have dated are unwilling to follow the path I am on even as I’m explicit that I want to be the provider and leader. It’s frustrating and the complete opposite of how I grew up with my dad as provider / protector / leader. The women I have experience with seem unhappy, unstable and listless while trying to lead and provide for themselves. But at the same time unwilling to change their path. Weird times.

you can do both, take action while you openly discuss the problem. In some spheres is also risky to just talk about this, so I wouldn underestimate the power of saying what we think, specially when it carry a cost wich tends to be when is more needed.
