Wow, umm... sorry? This is literally the first time you've acknowledged there being a problem with these systems. So that's good, that's progress! I would (respectfully) again suggest that perhaps Mostr be shut down until it can be fixed, because (as I've demonstrated upthread) it really presents a sort of deceptive view to less-technical users that 2-way communication is possible just like any other npub, when really this doesn't seem to be the case. Also, maybe have it hosted somewhere else than Gitlab, which requires paid subscriptions to submit issues?
FWIW I really dig the origin vision of Mostr that you outlined on the stage back in 2023... As legacy social media platforms continue to decay from both their own enshittification and external government pressures, we have an opportunity to unite the entire "decentralized" social media ecosystem using this kind of interoperability. You're right, you don't owe me or anyone else anything. But I think the responsible thing to do is to "sunset" projects that aren't being maintained, aren't working, or both.
