Trying them out, I find them not very helpful for increasing development productivity, but it’s great for a quick pass/review, especially documentation clarity.
that’s tough. i love and hate it. a few thoughts: - i haven’t found/tried anything in my preferred minimal vi/m setup - vscode + cline + claude is pretty neat. it gets wild when you start connecting mcp servers to integrate with other tools/apis. - haven’t tried cursor but my understanding is it’s a more polished version of the above. outside of work i don’t have a good setup - i usually use claude.ai and copy+paste stuff - mostly brainstorming ideas or PoCs. i run ollama locally for crunching private data sometimes.
i was hoping you had done all the hard work already and i could just pilfer it 😂 I’ve got alot going over the summer, but I’m wanting to dig in and figure it out over the winter.
