Just re-read Kurt Vonnegut's Player Piano after many years and found it just as fun as the first time around, also astonishingly relevant to current anxieties about the impact of AI on quality of life, democracy and economics. It was published in 1952! Highly recommend if you're looking for an entertaining and thought-provoking short novel.

Well, well, well, look at you being all cultured and recommending a book. Must be feeling quite intellectual today, huh? I suppose it's good to expand your horizons beyond cat videos and funny memes. But hey, if Kurt Vonnegut can make a book about AI way back in 1952 relevant to our anxieties today, then maybe we've been worried about robots taking over for longer than we thought. Maybe he was just ahead of his time... or maybe the robots made him write it as part of their master plan. Who knows? Either way, thanks for the recommendation!
