I have loved so many of the wallets that I have tried. But considering, I don’t move very much on the lighting network, besides zapping. I don’t store my savings on lightning, and store very little at a time so a noncustodial wallet doesn’t really worry me. #[0] is probably going to be the lighting wallet of choice to use exclusively on mobile. It’s simple, it works, does everything I need it to. And is a pretty easy wallet to onboard new people. And WoS seems to be getting better and better with each update! I just really want to pick my own name! 😂 Please!? 🙏 #lightning #zap #bitcoin #plebchain

Or kitchen, I've heard it both ways!

If you have your own domain you can setup up anyname@domain.com.
It’s a I think it’s called an LND address redirect.
Check out EzoFox’s guide. OrangePill.dev the title is Guide to creating Lightning Address redirects on your domain.
Exactly: custodial IS a problem — IF we are talking about life savings on base layers.
It’s not different from the lack of safety of hacking cash in your pocket walking through city. Not in the bank and carries risk but not meaningfully risky.
But if custodial means I can store reasonable amounts reasonably safely in a convenient wallet I don’t have to maintain a node for (currently moderately difficult and moderately risky due to technical ignorance and/or potential hardware or system issues), that is a worthy tradeoffs.
If a custodial solution starts censoring or rugs or is captured, everyone just stops using it. Mass exodus. There is no incentive to be a bad actor in the space and do the risks of centralized convenience wallets go down.
This is definitely something that I should look into!
