It's a nice thought isn't it? Do you think we'll see it in our lifetime?
Well i think its already possible, with some planning. Jack Mallers has mentioned how he uses credit cards for daily expenses, then just pays the balance with btc monthly. Strike offers direct deposit too.

Sure, at least for me, I still need a bank account in order to get paid. I can use Strike to convert and spend on a BTC standard but my employer isn't going to pay me in BTC and I don't receive enough BTC income to live reasonably.
I'll have to explore the direct deposit feature more.
