Ah, cool. Yeah, it seems like WoT and our ability to see all sorts of events raises the ability to simply calculate ratings.
Like, if an event describing a book has 15 Labels and 2 embeddings and 492 comments and 32 quotes and 5917 stars, and your friends are all over it... then it should probably have a high rating. And that rating should be higher for you, than for someone whose friends don't care about it.

The 5-star manual entry seems very "We just figured out 1-click shopping carts".
but also I have friends who I have little overlap in movie or restaurant preferences. The fact that they liked something actually signals to me that I wouldn't like it.
