I probably should have specified in the original post, but as a small clarification: the legal issues we are fighting have nothing to do with @SweetSats or running a Bitcoin-based business. The State has forced us into an untenable situation due to a completely unrelated issue, and as a result we’ve had to take drastic action to protect our family’s physical safety. I will share more specific details as soon as I am able. Love you all 🩷

As good a time as any to make a small announcement 😢 Due to an ongoing state-sponsored threat to our family's safety and well-being, SweetSats is currently closed indefinitely. We have to express our heartfelt gratitude to everyone who has supported us along the way. Over the past 17 months, we've been honored to be a small part of the blossoming Bitcoin circular economy community, and we are forever grateful to be a part of this community. We sincerely hope to reopen again if and when circumstances permit us to do so. Thanks for standing by us during this tough time, we truly need all the support we can find right now. We're not giving up on SweetSats, and we hope you won't either. We'll see you on the other side. 🧡 https://sweetsats.io/ View quoted note →

From the sounds of it, it’s some sort of bullshit regarding the sale of raw honey, the way they shut down raw milk purveyors in the USA. Every one of the POSes enforcing this crap should be shot. There are real criminals abound and these assholes feel more comfortable shutting down a peaceful business over bureaucratic dictate.

I think this note is specifically indicating its not what you are assuming. At least thats the impression I get from reading "completely unrelated". Maybe im wrong and my reading comprehension is trash though
