Is it just me or none of these protests are yet to affect/destroy a bank or central bank building? I stand to be corrected but if that's true, that's really interesting 🤔🧐

There was one in Paris that burned a bank, don’t know the bank’s significance (central, regional etc) but one at least did burn
I am sure there are a couple that burned, and as I said, I probably am wrong since I am not on the ground, but whatever it is they did to that bank is it on the same scale as the other retail stores?
No, banks keep the little bit of money they have on hand in a vault while retail stores keep their goods on the floor. Retail got hit way harder… again…
Do banks today hold any value other than symbolic?
I live in France; in my city, it was mostly banks and insurance companies that were targeted. You shouldn't believe everything you see online, it's heavily distorted.
There are, however, some small businesses that were looted, which saddens me (even though they weren't the 'target').

Thank you for bringing the on the ground perspective from your city. I am aware that online stuff gets distorted easily hence why I put out this post hoping that if I am wrong someone like you would set the record straight. So that aside, which banks were targeted? Are there vids or pics of this?

just like protests everywhere - they never target politicians. i think one city hall did get burnt, but burn them all? none of it is real.

People protest against the system, but the financial institutions seem to remain untouched. I stand to be corrected if I'm missing something.

The banks that I saw were Crédit Agricole, Banque Populaire, and La Banque Postale.
