Nostr enables us to choose our own algorithms and then to use those algorithms to discover both people and content. The best way to do this is to follow more Nostriches and engage and interact with them. No one is going to make you be seen or heard. You will have to do this for yourself.

I'm still not convinced by this strategy of 'just follow more' cos a lot is just more of the same. More people taking about the price of bitcoin, saying the slogans or whatnot. I think potentially accelerating leaving. Follow more hashtags (and eventually) feeds, I think I could agree with that tho. Although hashtags are prone to spam. It's a tricky one innit.

I also think the reality is that especially coming from other social media (mostly thinking of twitter), there isn't really much Other (non-bitcoin) content here. And following more people isn't going to help that. ¯⁠\⁠_⁠(⁠ツ⁠)⁠_⁠/⁠¯. You're effectively likely to just be following more bitcoin 'content' (slogans) lol.

Soon it won't matter when all major clients are using the new and improved outbox relay model. But for now, yes, relay choices are important!

Are there any algorithms to opt into / purchase? Basically it’s implemented by the client currently? Or can you point a client at a repay to get a different algo? Seems like a fun side project to make some algorithms.
